Our Mission: We are dedicated to empowering individuals through the transformative power of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing. We foster a supportive and safe environment where students of various skill levels can develop new skills, self-discipline, confidence, and physical fitness. Our structured and comprehensive training programs, coupled with quality instruction, help to uncover your potential and equip you with the tools to excel both in and out of the martial arts arena.
PKG Martial Arts: A History Rooted in Community
PKG Martial Arts first opened its doors in 2007, initially located on Ellis Avenue, Los Angeles right on the border of Culver City.
In those early days, we were a training ground for many aspiring professional MMA athletes.
Recognizing a shift in the community’s needs, we refocused our efforts from Competitive MMA in 2012 to provide a safe and high-quality martial arts training environment for working professionals and college students (many from UCLA). This marked the beginning of our emphasis on our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Muay Thai Kickboxing programs.
That same year, we moved to Westwood, in the heart of West L.A, further embedding ourselves in the community.
Our Kids program, launched in 2014, and has been thriving ever since. We’re proud to have kids from many local West L.A. schools training with us, including Westwood Charter, Fairburn Elementary, Emerson Middle School, St. Paul the Apostle, Warner Avenue Elementary, The Geffen Academy at UCLA, as well as kids who are currently Home Schooled.
